In collaboration with National Theatre Wales and Collective Cymru for the 2022 Unboxed UK-wide Festival, Experimental leads a series of participatory World Building events to imagine the future of Wales, co-creating a world designed to change the present through collective storytelling.

Two Thousand Stories

A World Build with five diverse communities and 120 participants across Wales takes place in September and October of 2021, driving creative initiatives across the country that produce a vast range of ideas, artifacts, characters, and reimagined communities.

From these World Building sessions, a radically Inclusive web-based Story Reference Platform is developed, which includes 2,000 unique entries, over 250 stories, 50 characters, and 100 pages of research and expert interviews that were used by over 30 creatives across Wales to tell stories across media platforms for the 2022 Unboxed UK Festival.

Communities across Wales came together to imagine life in 2052.
